Answers to the most frequently asked questions we've received regarding the InfiniTec acquistions and the status of your iSeries AS/400:
Is Manatron going to support our applications on the AS/400?
Yes. We have no plans to end support of the AS/400 platform. We will support your hardware and software well into the future.
Does Manatron have all the software packages ready in .NET for Windows?
The .NET versions of Tax, Personal Property, Oil & Gas, and Recorder (For Register of Deeds) have been released and are ready for use. Financial Management .NET release is planned for 4th quarter 2009. Payroll will follow soon after.
I just bought a new AS/400 last year – Am I going to have to switch software and buy new hardware?
No. You have made an investment on that platform. Manatron will continue to support your commitment to it.
My county is at the point where we were scheduled for a new AS/400 this year. Do I have options?
Absolutely, and your path can be driven by your county’s needs and priorities. You can work with your Manatron sales representative to configure a new AS/400 for your county, if you feel your current software is meeting your needs. However, this is an excellent opportunity to discuss the move to the .NET platform. Moving to the .NET platform will mean switching from the AS/400 platform to a Microsoft server-based infrastructure with all of its inherent advantages. Or, you can eliminate the need to purchase hardware altogether, as we also offer hosting services of our .NET applications – no more worries about hardware configuration, maintenance, or every day system management.
What happens when VIPS moves off of the AS/400?
While it will be awhile in any event, when VIPS does move off the AS/400; you can continue to use it to run all of your iSeries applications. We will continue to support our applications on that platform regardless of the timing of VIPS.
What is the cost of your .NET application software?
Each county is custom priced based on county size and what software of ours they currently run.
Will there come a day when you do not support the AS/400 and the applications on it?
Eventually, the AS/400 will cease to be a cost-effective and viable alternative for you compared to the .NET alternative. However, that is well into the future and we have no end-of-support time frame currently in mind. If we determine we need to establish such a date, we will communicate it to you several years in advance to make sure you have ample time to make the best decision for your county.

Cemetery Web Application
The Cemetery Web Application interfaces with the Cemetery Program to provide search functions on the internet. Features include:
- Allows public to search for certain persons buried in the cemetery by name and/or by birth or death date
- Allows public to search for burial plots available for purchase
- Aerial map of the Cemetery is overlaid with the actual Plot Map of the Cemetery so the public is able to “see” where the plots are located
- No changes may be performed by the public; all changes and updates are still maintained by office personnel in the Cemetery Program.

Fixed Assets
The primary purpose of the Fixed Assets software module allows you to maintain a complete inventory list of Equipment and Assets. Features include:
- Entry of Name, ID, Make, Model and other information on each asset
- Depreciation information can be entered and auto calculated
- Insurance information can be entered
- Photos can be saved for each inventory item
- Multiple photos can be input for the same date
- Notes area for each photo
- Unlimited number of dates and photos per inventory item
Equipment Management
The Equipment Management software module is used to track and monitor service tasks on vehicles and equipment, such as oil changes. Features include:
- Maintenance Plans are setup so that equipment/vehicle items may be joined with a specific Service Task
- Service Tasks can be configured as a one time service or as a reoccurring service.
- Reoccurring service tasks can be configured to keep intervals by:
Ř Calendar time used
Ř Hours used
Ř Mileage used
Ř Combination of Calendar time and Hours or Calendar time and Mileage
